Julia Felix is a violin and viola maker based in Santa Fe, NM. Originally trained as a visual artist, she discovered violin making in college, drawn to the intersection of music and woodworking. She went on to study at the North Bennet Street School in Boston, where she trained in traditional methods of fine violin making under Roman Barnas. Since returning to Santa Fe in 2019, she has focused on crafting new instruments for musicians across the country.
